YellowDog Go For Double Victory at Tech Trailblazers 2017

The Bristol-based king of tech innovation, YellowDog, has been shortlisted in two sought after categories in the prestigious Tech TrailBlazers global awards; Cloud and Firestarter.

Public voting has opened for the start-up pup and YellowDog are hoping to gain the most votes in order to be crowned tech royalty in this year’s annual awards. The Tech Trailblazers awards recognise tech innovation and entrepreneurial excellence, with YellowDog being selected due to their innovative platform that harnesses and monetises under-utilised computer power for fast CGI and animation rendering services.

The Cloud Trailblazer award goes to technical wizards finding innovative solutions using cloud and is only open to companies that are less than 6 years old. YellowDog uses cloud-sourced computer power, using suppliers such as Oracle’s Bare Metal, and re-packages it into render services.  This enables CGI, VR and 3D animators to deliver computer renders faster than ever before, with the ability to spin up to 168,000 cores – enough to help with the biggest and most complex jobs. The fact the rendering is fixed price is an innovation in the market, helping customers to control their costs.

The Firestarter Trailblazer award is dedicated recognition to those enterprises younger than 2 years old, that are showing huge potential in the tech world and who are still securing funding from VC’s. YellowDog have seen a surge of growth from their start-up launched in 2015, recently announcing that they have now activated over 500 customers around the globe in just 12 months having raised £1.2 million by the last funding round.
