Great news for all the Arnold fans out there. YellowDog now supports the ray tracing 3D rendering application, built for the tough demands of feature-length animation and visual effects. Arnold has established its credible reputation in the industry over the last few years and helped to create notable films including Thor, Captain America, X-Men: First Class and The Avengers.

Arnold is best known for its ability to send billions of spatially coherent rays through a scene, defining materials and texture magnificently; making it ideal for animations. The software is super quick, memory efficient and easily scalable.

Key features of Arnold include sub-surface scattering, motion blur and incredible detail in fur and hair. In terms of user friendly; it couldn’t be any more effortless, with the flexibility, extensibility and memory efficiency being highly acclaimed by users.

In scaling up to meet client requirements, the YellowDog render service is able to support Arnold software after Solid Angle was acquired by Autodesk last year. The addition of Arnold adds to YellowDog’s prowess in rendering services and responsiveness to market need.

Gareth Williams, YellowDog’s Founder and Managing Director, said:

It’s great to have Arnold now part of YellowDog. It has exceptional rendering capabilities and is such a definitive tool in the animation business; from ease of use to image quality, it’s a reliable tool to work with and we’re chuffed to support it.”
